about

'Mixtape 1' brings together three archival collage style pieces by Brisbane, Australia based musician Andrew Tuttle into the physical realm for the first time.

Released in an extremely limited, hand assembled run of 50 CDs as well as a 'pay what you like' digital edition, throughout its three tracks 'Mixtape 1' explores themes of summer pleasantries, domestic bliss, intense subtropical weather, radical agitation, spatial tension and overall redemption.

BickLack is a heavily edited version of an hour long 'mixtape' piece created for Zed Digital's (4ZZZ FM) 'Back Lick' program in March 2013. Recorded in Brisbane; January-March 2013 (with a guitar excerpt recorded at Ryman Auditorium song booth studio, Nashville, TN; September 2012).

4064, Rezoned is based on a commission by Darwin based creative producer Britt Guy; and performed live over two nights at Brisbane’s Metro Arts in December 2013. This version of 4064, Rezoned was recorded in Brisbane, February 2014 for the Ears Have Ears program on Sydney, Australia’s FBi radio.

...from soapbox to Senate is a 'single' created from live performances, edited improvisations and on-site field recordings of a work by the same name at Boggo Road Gaol in November 2014. ...from soapbox to Senate was the result of an invitation by OtherFilm to create a work to present at their Institutional Capture festival.
